Massacre of Capaci: “Italy day after day” May 23, 1992
Today is one of the saddest days of the second post-war period, or at least it is for us! Giovanni Falcone, his wife Francesca Morvillo and the agents of the escort Vito Schifani, Rocco Dicillo and Antonio Montinaro died.
The massacre of Capaci, organized and planned by the worst criminal mass of that period, the mafia.
They wanted to stop him in every way, and they succeeded. The attackers blew up a section of the A29 motorway at 17:57. The massacre of Capaci was an attack with a power equal to 500 kg of TNT, to kill the anti-mafia magistrate Giovanni Falcone. The attackers blew up a stretch of the A29 motorway, at 17:57, while passing over the procession of the escort with the judge, his wife and police officers on board, placed in armored Fiat Croma.
There were 23 wounded, including agents Paolo Capuzza, Angelo Corbo, Gaspare Cervello and judicial driver Giuseppe Costanza.
